Common frogs are amphibians; their body can reach the maximum length of 10 cm. Frog’s head is wide and slightly flattened. On the sides of its head from the eye to the shoulder there is a temporal spot. Frogs have smooth skin, varying in color, from light-yellow to dark-brown with marble pattern on the belly. During mating season male frogs’ necks turn bluish. Frogs are used as bait for fishing pike, catfish, perch, asp, burbot and chub.
