Bullet Sinker is a series of special sinkers shaped like a bullet. Sinkers of this type have a hole for the fishing line to thread through. As a rule, bullet sinkers are used in conjunction with an offset hook with a silicone lure attached to it. The sinker slides along the line freely. As a sinker often contacts a hook knot during retrieval, the sinkers are made of malleable lead. A special bead may be used for even better shock absorption in the case when the sinker and the hook collide. A variety of weights are presented in the series.
